You have a 2006 Honda Element and the check engine light came on The auto parts store hooked up a scan tool and pulled code P1157. Checked forums that said it was an A/F ratio sensor and NOT a regular universal O2 sensor and was pre-catalyst. Bought this sensor. It arrived quickly. Took out the old one and replaced it in less than 5 minutes! To be honest I think the old sensor was removed or replaced before we bought the car because it turned out to be very easy (which is a bit unusual). Reset the check engine light at an auto parts store. CORRECTED! If you received code P1157, buy this part and do it yourself! Do not be afraid. I was told that other sensors and brands would not solve the problem. Be sure to buy Denso brand sensors, it helped me.
