Metal spikes too weak

I purchased these for my dining room chair upholstery project. Unfortunately the spikes bent every time I tried to nail them into the wood. They were useless.

Pros

It arrived before the due date and seems to be everything it is advertised to be.

Cons

The metal strips may rust over time
