When I opened the box, the first thing that struck me was how beautifully made each pouch was. There wasn't a speck of charcoal in the plastic wrapper. It was impressive. The pockets are also well filled. Don't skimp on the coal. They each have a metal grommet in the top corner for easy hanging. One thing that was NOT impressive was two holes punched in the bottom of the plastic bag they were shipped in. Hence, these bags have been picking up occasional odors ever since. They were made. Who knows what smells and how much? I understand that you can "rejuvenate" them by leaving them in the sun for a few hours, but you don't have to rejuvenate a brand new thing. As a hobby or for entertainment I buy used/broken Dyson handheld vacuums, repair them, clean them and donate them or give them away to friends. Some arrive with smoke, others smell like they've been cleaned in a kennel. Even after the cyclones have been completely dismantled and cleaned, some of these odors will remain. Sealing them in a large plastic bag with baking soda did little to no good, so I decided to give it a try. A few days later, with one or two of these sealed in a large bag, the vacuum cleaner odor issues were resolved. Luckily the smell didn't come back. I'm sure I'll find other uses for them, but for my original purpose, they fit perfectly.
