This was the perfect replacement for the broken DualShock 4 trigger that came with my PS4 that I bought about two years ago. A few weeks ago I noticed that I was starting to unintentionally walk backwards in Rocket League, and after poking around a bit on the internet I realized that I probably had a broken L2 trigger. I found the instructions for opening the DS4 and discovered that the pivot on which the L2 trigger rotates is broken and the trigger can no longer continuously return to its depressed position. After reading the reviews I ordered these replacement parts and after figuring out how to install the spring (the loop goes over the edge of the pin that the trigger spins on) I got the controller up and running in just a few minutes brought. I'm saving myself $40+ on a new one. The texture and appearance are identical to the factory buttons; I understand that Sony may have changed the design/designs over time making them incompatible without changes, but both of my DS4s are almost two years old and perfect for them.
