Review on 🧺 Fragrance-Free Laundry Liquid Detergent by Charlie's Soap - 160 Loads, 128 oz, 1 Pack by Rudy Allen

Have been using this soap for about 8 months. I only use it on my cloth diapers - I wash our clothes with a different (cheaper, regular Walmart brand) detergent. This means I blatantly ignore instructions to run Charlie's through your washing machine "before" you use it a few times to get rid of other detergent residue - that would obviously be pointless. I usually use "Charlie" to load cloth diapers and that same day I turn the clothes over and over in the same 25 year old washing machine and put regular detergent on the clothes. Guess I just wanted people to know it's possible and Charlie still works great for me without "washing machine pre-treat" or whatever. I tried Rockin' Green for a few months before switching to Charlie and found that Rockin' Green was good but not great - RG got our diapers dirty - it didn't just smell like ammonia. dirty. (and yes, I used the correct RG for my water type.) With Charlie's, diapers don't smell after washing and diapers smell like they're worthless. It's made from coconut oil, so use caution if you're sensitive to it. For us this is not a problem. I gave it four stars instead of five because it felt right to me and because it's a bit pricey. Sometimes it takes 2 washes to remove a stubborn poo stain but it comes out, and again no smell. And it could be because I don't just use Charlie in my washing machine as mentioned above, I don't know. Overall this is a very good product and I have no plans to use any other cleaning products on our diapers. Oh, and in case people are wondering, I usually only use 3 tablespoons of Charlie (liquid) per large diaper load. I don't know if that's the right amount, but it works. A 1 gallon jug of Charlie lasted me about 5 months, I washed diapers every other day!
