They are very bright and work exactly as advertised. I have a Chevy Tahoe and the mounts are not really designed for use with my truck. I have found that the easiest way to install them is to use clips but actually place them between the headliner. To do this, the sun visors must be removed so that the headliner can be lowered far enough that the brackets can be slid between the headliner and the underside of the roof. They are only held in place by being very tight when you put the sun visors back on. I also had to bend the legs on the mount but it's really thin metal so it was easy. Finally, I turned off the power to the cigarette and connected it to the fuse box and control wires to the button box. So much cleaner.
