I thought the days of the good old high power incandescent bulbs were over and I was stuck with curly fluorescent bulbs for the rest of my life. I have 14 recessed lights in my kitchen. I slowly replaced everything with curly phosphors. These are the lamps that are most commonly used in my home. My electric bills weren't affected, they burned out quickly and I couldn't replace them with my lamp post, I had to haul a ladder. I ordered these through Revain and they are amazing. You can tell that they are well made and give off light. My wife asked me to replace the lamp above her bathroom where she reads and I put one in. She was thrilled when she turned it on. Great product!
