That's good, but...: Vacuum cleaner

Let's start with the most important question - is this cordless vacuum cleaner as good as a corded vacuum cleaner? no But with the possible exception of the $600 wireless Dyson, I don't think either of them have the kind of performance that we'd get with a wired one. I compare my Shark Navigator Pro with a corded vacuum cleaner, some of which are so powerful that I have to regulate the suction power with a rotary control for some plush carpets. However... For a cordless vacuum cleaner, this is very good. Let me be honest though I've never used a cordless vacuum before so I don't really have a comparison to other cordless vacuums. I'm reviewing it simply because I enjoyed it, in the absence of anyone else's experience. Let's start with the weight. It's listed as a 10 and it looks like it weighs 10 pounds if you pick it up and move it around. My wife complained about this at first, but when you actually use it, when the vacuum is placed on the floor and you just hold it up and squeeze it, it feels a lot lighter. I think once my wife got used to how it works she hasn't complained about it since. Next comes absorption. The device has three suction modes: low, high and automatic. To be honest, unless you're sucking up balls of dust on hardwood floors, a low setting is pretty much useless. When set low, it won't pick up dirt, sand, or other heavier materials on hardwood. And the roller easily removes dirt and sand without picking it up. The high suction setting is much better and picks up almost anything on hardwood floors, and the roller head and suction work well together. Presumably the auto function starts low and keeps it low until you need a higher value. I have no idea how this is supposed to work from a technological point of view, but in real life it seems like it just goes up and down every few seconds. Eventually, I just keep dialing higher and higher settings, and then it works really well. Again, this isn't my wired shark, and it won't clean up an entire room of pet hair, dirt, etc like wire would. But it does a good job until you want to deep clean and pull out real muscle. Battery life. This is similar to automakers' mpg claims. The manufacturer says it's 60 minutes, but that's too long. If you set it low and only go on hardwood so the reels don't have to work as hard, then I think this could happen. I set it to high suction and made my basement where there is a mix of carpet and hardwood. When I checked the battery level, it was dropping one digit every 5-10 seconds. I have to do some math, but let's all agree it won't take an hour. Maybe a maximum of 30 minutes at this level. BUT...30 minutes is still more than enough time to sit downstairs, so as long as I'm not using it to sit both upstairs and downstairs I'll be fine. It comes with a digital power gauge that lets you know how much battery is left. and charging is very fast. From 10% to 100% took less than 3 hours. The wall mount is particularly convenient because it snaps into place and the ports automatically charge it while it's in the dock. The canister/filter attachment is a little bulky to take apart and empty, but nothing to break the deal. It's a detachable unit so you can add all the little things and you have crevices, corners, blinds and blah blah blah. Useless. The block is too big to fit those little brushes and the brushes are too small to do really small jobs practically. The idea is good, but the execution really isn't. I can't blame the manufacturer for that. I have the same problem with a shark. The body is detachable and you can attach all these attachments to it, but if you take the main tubular part of the vacuum out of the equation, it becomes too short for some uses unless you bend over (but then why take it off ? ) and too often the device is too cumbersome to vacuum blinds without tiring your hands. Conclusion: After all, it does a decent job as a cordless vacuum cleaner, especially when it comes to hardwood. This gives you about 30 minutes of high-speed work, which is enough for one carpet. Keep in mind that you buy convenience, which sometimes translates into less performance, but overall this device is comfortable and does a pretty good job. Otherwise, use WiFi. The only other recommendation I would make is to see if the seller sells extra batteries so you can swap them out.
