The product is very very very thick. Although the instructions say to use a large amount, I would advise against it. Dilute slightly in another bowl with a little water before applying to the coat. I have followed the directions on the bottle but it is very difficult to lose weight. I had to shampoo my hair more than 3 times to get rid of my Maine Coon's hair. Which primarily contradicts the purpose of this group. That note aside I would consider this a good product for long haired cats and dogs. I can see the difference in fur texture after the first use. One downside I would say about this product is that the smell is a very strong rubber smell. Doesn't go away even after shampooing. I think you just can't have everything.
