I wanted a lightweight towel that could be thrown over the back of my leather sofa to protect the sofa from hair product buildup. These fit my needs. If you're looking for thick bath towels, you won't like these. You're on the thinner side. I've had no problems with them shrinking or falling out in the wash. The thickness is like the towels your hairdresser uses when washing your hair.
