By semi-openness, I can say that everything is well audible as in open headphones, but only the foam dampens the highest frequencies, those external noises are heard normally, but there are no high frequencies in them. These ears don't need an amplifier. I almost always listen at 15% of the maximum volume on the Creative X-fi Titanium. Only if the sound is initially very quiet, for example, in the screen, I raise it to 30%, and flac at the maximum can be heard from anywhere in a 2-room apartment. This is obviously overkill. Before that, I used the Schenheiser 555mi, I am very dissatisfied with them because of the case. There is 50 ohms and a sensitivity of 112 dB at 15% volume, approximately corresponds to 20% of the volume of these headphones, I honestly did not expect this. I can explain why I listen at 15 percent volume. Let's just say on YouTube the volume of the videos is usually very high, and if you put it in the player at 50%, then if the total volume is above 15% it's already uncomfortable. For battlefield3 I set the overall volume to 20%, and in the game the sound is about 30% done. So forget about the amplifier right away. I hope they do not fall apart quickly, plastic ears do not crack and break. I use headphones almost all the time. Sometimes I even fall asleep in them :) but that's another story.
