The Sangean WR-2 has been in production for several years. Good proof that if they got it RIGHT the first time, there's no need to keep changing it. Designed as a premium, high-quality tabletop radio, the WR-2 delivers on that promise. The digital tuning is precise and the sound quality is excellent. The 7W aluminum element driver with full-range bass and treble controls allows you to tailor the sound to your liking - whether you're listening quietly in tight spaces or looking for room-filling, crowded sound. The WR-2 operates using a pluggable AC power cord (included) or a 12V DC power cord (not included). There is no battery. Built-in antennas provide medium AM reception and near FM reception. Connectors for external AM and FM antennas are included - and a simple outdoor straight wire FM antenna (included) greatly improves FM reception. My ONLY complaint is the limited storage resource in the event of a power outage. Your saved stations are 'saved' for a brief power burst, but any power outage of more than a few minutes will require reprogramming.
