I've been using my Zealot/Light Bluetooth speaker for over 3 months now. Quite a workhorse. I bought this to replace my Photic Bike Speaker. Photive introduced me to the luxury of safely listening to music while cycling, but its fasteners made it unreliable and prone to falling out of its mount. That's definitely not going to happen with Zealot. It has a hard, compressed, thick plastic mount that fits snugly to the handlebars, and the speaker attaches to it like a camera on a tripod so it doesn't fall off in a crash. By the way, you can also use it to mount a Go-Pro or similar screw-on camera. (I've seen a lot of complaints about the bindings breaking. It's a small fit and if you screw it in too tight the pivot can break. I'd say the max circumference is about 3-1/2 inches. My handlebars are 3 inches and I use a washer so measure before you think. Don't over tighten when installing). It has three modes: light, dark and light flashing (SOS). It's big, like a flashlight, and the silicone rubber coating makes it fairly waterproof. I have sports red. I ride my bike to work every day except in heavy snow and it holds up great on city streets. The speaker is loud enough for personal enjoyment without disturbing others. Sure, it's not the sort of speaker you'd take to the beach when you want to get the party started, but for personal use the sound is perfect. I even take it with me when I want to enjoy music while relaxing in the park and not disturb others who are trying to relax. You can play music via Bluetooth, an SD card, or FM radio, but the latter requires you to connect a charging cable to make it work as an antenna. Not a fan as I don't like having a long cable hanging from my front wheel while cycling. I only use Bluetooth so I can't reliably consider other methods other than the SD working fine and you can use the controls on the speaker in the same way. as you would use it for Bluetooth (volume, next track, etc.). FM is fine if you have good reception. In addition, it includes an extra cable if the package does not use Bluetooth and a USB charging cable. By the way, the packaging is beautiful, so it will be a great gift. The battery lasts a long time, around 10+ hours of use without recharging, and lasts several days on a charge. Most importantly, it's also a portable charger, which most other bike bluetooth speakers don't have. Recently I had an iPhone battery at 35 percent, and in 30 minutes of charging it brought it to 65 percent. A charge from 10 to 100 percent takes about an hour. If you want to use it while hiking, it includes a carabiner clip that can be attached to a belt loop or backpack loop for emergency lighting and music while traveling. (When you first unpack the flashlight, there is a loop screw on the thread that must be removed to screw on the mounting bracket. Do not throw away this screw, a carabiner attaches to it). You can also receive Bluetooth calls if you don't want to access your phone, which I usually carry in my pocket or backpack while cycling. In short - great bluetooth speaker, waterproof, phone charger, bright safety signal/hazard light and long charge time - perfect for the new generation of bikers.
