If these 100% cotton bags weren't transparent where they are white I would give them 5 stars. However, the fact that it is transparent (where the color is white) makes no sense as the gift needs to be wrapped and then placed in a gift bag. I'm assuming that a stuffed animal, clothing, or item with little or no markings could work, so I think it works. These are very good bags. Being cotton and not synthetic is a huge plus as our landfills are already overburdened. The prints are attractive too. The bags are advertised as large but I actually think they are medium sized. They cannot live up to what I consider a "great" gift. For example, power tool kits probably won't work. But two jigsaw puzzles fit with space to spare. Made in China.
