Better light than fluorescent lamps and a very pleasant color temperature.
I really like this warm white. It's slightly cooler than an incandescent bulb and not blue at all. Certainly much better than the green cast of the old fluorescent tubes. They put out about 20% more light than the fluorescent lights they replaced. I like that they connect directly to 12V, which requires a bit more effort to install but eliminates the noisy and inefficient ballast.
