My old fridge was taken out before I realized the new one didn't have a freezer shelf (ridiculous) so I couldn't use a shelf in the new one. Allowed to. no Find. one. What. fits. (I have this smallest unit you can get without going under the counter). So I bought a corner unit shelf and hobbled around with it for a couple of years, then the pandemic hit and I tried to tape the door down because everything was moving in there, especially after it froze in weird shapes. I can only use one of these baskets side by side instead of two like I originally hoped and I had to get a slightly smaller plastic basket to use side by side because two of them were too wide in my small freezer, but they are very wide robust . and I'm happy about that. It might not slide in and out well, but that's not my biggest concern right now. I use this for proteins. The freezer compartment door remains closed. Of course, you always lose some space when you start bringing containers in, but it's worth keeping the door from opening and things sliding onto the floor.
