Sandwich maker is ok

I used it as a sandwich maker for almost a few months. He's fine except for two things. The sandwich should be thin. It doesn't stretch to accommodate a thick sandwich. I found I had to push it down with something heavy.2. I have a feeling it's steam, not toast. I have to pre-toast the bread before using it. Like I said, I still like him.
