Review on πŸ“· K&F Concept Lens Mount Adapter: Connect Canon EOS EF Mount Lens to M4/3 MFT Olympus Pen and Panasonic Lumix Cameras by Chris Cruz

Good quality but not electronic. Make sure your lens has a RED dot and not a white dot.

later Don't get confused as to what this adapter does and doesn't do. Many reviews and answers to questions are misleading. To be absolutely clear, this adapter works with the Panasonic Lumix G7 body and Canon EF lenses, NOT Canon EF-s lenses. If your lenses have a RED dot, then this adapter is for you. If they have a WHITE dot then you will not be able to focus the lens when mounted and should not bother. K&F has a good product. The build quality is very good, the adapter fits the camera and Canon lenses very snugly. The K&F product description is also correct. This is for EF lenses. Just remember that this is a mechanical adapter. It has NO electronics and your Lumix G7 cannot autofocus the EF lens or adjust the aperture. After attaching an EF lens, you can only operate the camera in manual mode. After installing a lens on the G7, you'll need to go into C (Custom) mode on the dial and toggle down to activate the setting that allows the camera to operate without a lens. This allows the clasp to work. Unfortunately, there are no instructions included with the adapter, so it's not obvious. Unfortunately, my EF-S lenses are smaller than I wanted to use with the G7, so I bought an adapter. I am ashamed that I do not understand that they are not what they were made for. Don't repeat the same mistake.

Pros
  • Because Canon EOS lenses are electronically controlled, most Canon EF mount lenses do not have a manual aperture ring, so when used on our EOS-M4/3, which is a fully manual adapter ring, the aperture could not be transferred to the camera , by default it stops at the minimum aperture.
Cons
