Like many people born in the 90's, I'm an avid Nintendo fan and their handheld systems have always accompanied me. years and years. I always try to look for cases for my portable consoles since they go with me everywhere. I knew I'd be putting my Switch in my purse a lot, so I wanted to make sure it didn't damage other items in my purse, like keys, but also things I wouldn't need to fiddle with when I'm gaming at home. .This case is great for both! I used it for a while and when I got it I was out of the house for a week. Even when I packed it, the case showed hardly any signs of wear. Once installed, you get both wet and dry wipes to wipe the screen, as well as a sticky piece to dust the screen (my wet wipe dried up, but that's not a big deal). I would recommend if you have one, wiping down the console with one of those eyeglass cleaners and glass cleaners just to avoid dust. Avoid placing the protective film on the console in a dry environment, as this increases the chance of dust getting on the adhesive, and work slowly and smooth it by hand to avoid blistering. As for the hard plastic case, I initially attached it too carefully and wasn't able to fully attach the faceplates to any of the joycons. You can hear the pieces snap into place when fully attached. The plastic of the case is very smooth, so not as good as the more textured real Switch case, but you don't notice it after about twenty minutes. The underside of the treats on the lids is extra plastic. When the switch is resting on a flat surface, it lays flat on top rather than at an angle due to the buttons, and I find it makes it a bit easier to hang onto as well. The release buttons on the back for removing the joycons can be a little tricky for those with big hands, but I didn't have too much trouble with them. The case has one part for the tablet itself and then two parts for the front and back of each joystick, so both joycons are still in the protective case even when removed from the console. I will say that if you have one of those soft cloth dock covers on the dock, you can still dock the Switch with both the case and the dock cover. It fits very well but still snaps into place, be careful! I am very happy with my purchase and will definitely buy another one if something happens to my case!
