My father has a 14 year old pickup truck and the leather steering wheel has been worn out for a long time. He's tried duct tape (DON'T DO THAT! Glue gets everywhere) and I've tried to find a new OEM replacement but it's out of stock from the manufacturer. Disassembling the cars wasn't the best option due to the age of the rig and the extra controls on his car. We tried one of these slipcovers and it sucked, followed by a trip to the local auto upholstery shop (gag, cough, you want HOW MUCH!?!), so I finally decided to give it a try. It took about 1.5 hours to install and it's a bit tricky to get started, but I found it pretty easy with decent instructions. What he likes the most is the end product. One tip I took to heart and implemented from some tutorial videos was to superglue the ends of the seam wherever you start and stop when you're done, just to make sure they line up does not dissolve.
