Review on Metra 82 8139 1993 1997 Speaker Adapter by Doug Destruction

Requires custom installation for 6.5 inch speakers, lots of sanding with drum sander on my drill (see photo). You'll also need longer screws since the holes in the 6.5" speaker frame line up with the three mounting holes in the door panel. You cannot screw the speakers directly to the bracket because the speaker's frame overlaps the screw locations in the door panel. It's cheap plastic, not metal like the description says, and it doesn't have a foam backing. Also, you'll probably need to trim the plastic webbing of the factory door panel's speaker grille cover so it doesn't rub against the thicker speakers.
