Cheap Solution - Joysticks
Some combat joysticks are too expensive. It's the smaller one that works with everything. All you have to do is connect your Xbox or PlayStation controller to the Battle Stick and you're good to go. If you have a table it doesn't really matter, but if you're using the controller on your lap it can be annoying to have another controller attached to it.
