Some combat joysticks are too expensive. It's the smaller one that works with everything. All you have to do is connect your Xbox or PlayStation controller to the Battle Stick and you're good to go. If you have a table it doesn't really matter, but if you're using the controller on your lap it can be annoying to have another controller attached to it.

Bought this because it had good reviews. I plugged it in to test, no settings needed. However, during the first hour of play, the joystick would get stuck in the down position while playing. .EDIT: The seller refunded the joystick and sent a replacement that works great. Many Thanks. If you are looking for a good fighting stick for beginners to play arcade games, I would highly recommend this one. I tested this on my RetroPie/Raspberry Pi as well as Windows and everything works very well. The buttons and stick feel comfortable, the stick can be used in analog or D-pad mode, the main buttons support turbo mode, and the two side buttons (L3/R3) support macro programming. Overall a good buy.

Suitable for PS3 and PS4. I tried PSTV but I couldn't get it to do anything. It feels sturdy and solidly built. All buttons click when pressed, even the joystick. I didn't understand what a d-pad or a joystick switch is. Until I tried it on my PS3 with PS one classics like Shienryu and Sonic Wings. I bought this for my Nvidia Shield TV but was skeptical as it had few reviews at the time of purchase. I mainly use it for Retroarch and emulators.
