Review on Mega Construx Pokemon Jumbo Pikachu: Unleash the Power of Pikachu! by Ruben Jamrock

I bought this product for my 8 year old son who is a fan of all Pokemon products. Although the packaging says 8+, this set seems unreasonably difficult for an 8 year old (with the understanding that children have different building abilities). Some of the instructions/drawings were fuzzy compared to the Lego brand instructions. and there were two occasions when I had to guess/justify which construct was appropriate because the instructions were unclear or misleading. In other cases, typing accuracy required a combination of dexterity and brute force, which is not what you would expect from an 8-10 year old child. Otherwise there were no missing parts, everything matched with some time and accuracy, and the final product was as good or even better than the photos. I would highly recommend this set to all Pokemon fans, but be prepared to build one for your kids and don't let them sort or choose pieces as many of them are small and/or very precise.
