Bought these for a hike and wanted to later use them in the office. For the office they are great, but for the hike, they are the strangest Merino Wool sock I've ever owned. It must be the weave or something. I find them kind of slippery inside my shoe. Not slipping on my feet, and maybe not on the shoe either but like slipping along itself within the wall of the sock. I don't know, its strange explain. They did not fold or slump down in my shoe at all which was nice, but the slipperiness did cram my toes into the front of my shoes on decent and even though I trim to nails for hikes, I wound up loosing one. (Ouch)For a hike, I would look elsewhere. But for a comfy and good looking regular sock, I like them enough.
