My ASUS GTX 1070 ROG GL502V gaming laptop has had an overheating problem since I bought it. I reinstalled it and it helped a bit but it's still a problem. This laptop cooling pad cools the look of my laptop but unfortunately does not affect the internal temperature of the CPU and GPU. The screenshot was taken while playing Myst at maximum visual settings for about 30 minutes with the fan at maximum speed on the cooling pad. The laptop's appearance on the back felt cool to the touch after holding it on the stand for a while, so the panel does what it's supposed to do, but perhaps due to the laptop itself overheating, that didn't help. However. I tried adjusting the position of the laptop on the stand to align the ventilation on the back, but that didn't help either. However, it is a nice and stable stand and the 6 fans work as expected. I love how it elevates the laptop and will definitely use it for work. Still five stars because the cooling pad isn't to blame, but maybe the thick plastic back of my gaming laptop.
