Review on 🍴 Ka-Bar 9909 Tactical Spork (Spoon Fork Knife) Multi-Tool - Black, 1 Pack by Adam Rogers

The coolness factor almost outweighs its mediocre function. almost

Spork is the epitome of design compromise: a design that takes away features until nobody is satisfied. This model is no exception, but what it lacks in salad compatibility it gains in a handy, if not small, knife and very cool looking. The fork gets bad marks because the teeth are so short and blunt. I'm not sure who will be reaching for a spoon when they have a salad, but whoever they are will be disappointed. It works well as a spoon, that is, if portion control is your goal. I ended up gulping down a bowl of cereal, but lost patience and ended up drinking. Eating a casserole turns out to be a nuisance as the food gets stuck in the too concave cavity of the spoon. For a plastic knife, this actually works very well. The handle is too short for my large hand. And while the orange peel isn't much of a challenge, I didn't have a hard time cutting it. You can wash the branch by hand or in the dishwasher. The small port, which I believe is designed to help the handle dry out, is the perfect closure for all types of food and is difficult to clean by hand. And a small chute that looks like a production assistant also catches leftovers. It weighs about 35 grams or about one and a half ounces. Sounds small but is a bit disappointing compared to my titanium fork which weighs only 15 grams. In fact, only part of the Ka-Bar weighs about as much as an entire titanium paddle. Being a composite knife, it is quite durable. It has a bit of flexibility but even with a little effort I didn't feel like it was going to break. However, since it's plastic, I wouldn't use it for cooking when camping. This is for consumption only. Knife-to-fork attachment is good. The two halves stay connected very well and reconnect with a nice click. In the end, this is a fun novelty. If you like comical tactical scenes, this won't disappoint you. I'm glad I paid $5.29 plus tax for this entertainment and maybe even more than buying playful gifts for friends. But for its usefulness, I would rate it as mediocre at best. Certainly better than the dining room, but not by much.
