This device looks great on paper and has great reviews but don't be fooled. This thing will break for you. When I first got it, it was a bit unstable due to random disconnects. But I thought maybe it was my fault. Maybe my cables are loose. I checked and even changed all my cables by hand, everything was fine. After 2 months it got worse (and now I can't get it back). The probability of connecting my monitor is about 10%. This is the ritual of spending 5 minutes restarting the device until it works. I'm wondering why I got this at all. I wanted an easy setup to be able to switch laptops (between work and personal life) but it actually made the process LONGER and MORE TIDY 😒. For almost $200 I really feel cheated. Please save money and buy another product. Edit: Using a DisplayPort device instead seems to be much more stable. Unfortunately, it is not possible to stably use the USB-C port for display.

Pros
  • Second Generation Thunderbolt 3 Technology with JHL7440 chipset Titan Ridge solution compatible not only with the Thunderbolt 3 port but also with certain Windows USB3.1 Gen.1 and USB3.1 Gen. 2 ports compatible. Advanced dock features such as host loading and "alternate mode" video output must be supported by the host system to work. Not all systems with USB-C ports support charging or video output.
Cons
  • Communication with seller
