Type of review

I returned an Aukey USB-C hub that stopped working shortly after purchase and based on the reviews I decided to buy it despite the high price this WAVLINK docking station. I love that it's self-powered and therefore only uses one of the two USB-C ports on my 2020 MacBook Pro M1. Everything seems to work fine including the DisplayPort connection for my large monitor. However, I have noticed that my internet speed is now 1/3 of my normal speed. When connecting directly through the Apple Ethernet…

Fantastic docking station for the new 2019 16 " MacBook Pro

I'm using a new 2019 16" Macbook Pro (and I love it). I don't have 4K monitors. I am using two old DELL U2412M monitors. They are HD only and have inputs for DVI-D, VGA and DP. They do NOT have HDMI inputs so this saves me a lot of docking stations as almost all use HDMI as the main monitor output. This WAVLINK dock has DP as the main video output (hooray!). an additional Thunderbolt 3 output port to which I connected the USB-C to DP adapter for my second monitor. Both monitors can work in…

Pros
  • . Supports hot swapping and automatic configuration. Intel Certified - This Thunderbolt 3 to Dual Dual DisplayPort 1.4 Dock is Intel certified and we have Intel technology support
Cons
  • boring packaging

(Edit) Want a device that makes your life easier? VIEW ELSEWHERE (edit)

This device looks great on paper and has great reviews but don't be fooled. This thing will break for you. When I first got it, it was a bit unstable due to random disconnects. But I thought maybe it was my fault. Maybe my cables are loose. I checked and even changed all my cables by hand, everything was fine. After 2 months it got worse (and now I can't get it back). The probability of connecting my monitor is about 10%. This is the ritual of spending 5 minutes restarting the device until it…

Pros
  • Second Generation Thunderbolt 3 Technology with JHL7440 chipset Titan Ridge solution compatible not only with the Thunderbolt 3 port but also with certain Windows USB3.1 Gen.1 and USB3.1 Gen. 2 ports compatible. Advanced dock features such as host loading and "alternate mode" video output must be supported by the host system to work. Not all systems with USB-C ports support charging or video output.

Almost as good as CalDigit TS3+ but much cheaper.

I use CalDigit TS3+ at work with my MacBook, to connect my two external 4k displays and other peripherals with one cable and I need a similar setup for my home office. The ports on this match those on the TS3+ very closely, offering a minus one USB-A port, a 10Gbps USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port, and an optical audio out. I don't have any devices that support 10Gb/s USB 3.1 so I don't bother too much, but it would be nice to have at least one more USB port on this thing. It's capable of driving two 4K…

Dual resolution 4K @ 60Hz for business users and Full HD @ 144Hz for gaming users are also supported. Thunderbolt 3 host computer with HBR2 support, dual display support up to 4K (4096 x 2160) at 60/30 Hz, Full HD at 120 Hz.

Displayport not working

After I plugged in the device and approved it in Windows 10, I was happy to use it to connect my laptop to an external monitor, only to find that the displayport was not providing any output to my monitor . I checked the cable, the monitor, everything. It's a problem with the docking station. I had expected a better product for almost 200€. I have contacted support and will update the review if they can fix this for me or send a replacement. Update 1: Now the ethernet port is dropping every few
