I'm not a fan of synthetic duvets. I've always preferred wool. I have been using an outdated synthetic duvet for six years. Finally I had enough. I was looking for a blanket. Yes, they're heavy and a little scratchy, but there's something soothing about a wool blanket. I found this alpaca wool blanket and decided to buy it. That's wonderful. It is lighter than wool but larger than a synthetic blanket. It doesn't feel prickly, but because it's sandwiched between the sheet and the top cover, I don't come into direct contact with it often. It definitely warms me up. My house is not very warm in winter. A good buy.
