We booked a trip to the zoo for the 4th of July, ordered one for a 1 year old as she may not be wearing a mask. After receiving the first one we decided to buy another for a 3 year old and the Michigan grandmother asked for another for my 1.5 year old cousin. The face shield is detachable, no lace but with a band. Babies can still eat with caps on. I ordered a size 4-6 for both so I was expecting the hat to be larger on the younger ones. It's definitely a swing hat at the zoo, all parents thought it's a great idea for kids who can't hold masks.
