Review on TIP TEMPerature Products METINF005 Thermocouple by William Stewart

A very expensive tool, but inconvenient to use. The probe takes the temperature very quickly and very accurately, but unless you're looking for food outdoors, it's difficult to position it for a quick reading. The probe is so sensitive that it measures the drop in temperature when you remove it from your food. I wish it had a button that I could use to take the temperature with the food in place and then move the sensor to a spot where I could read it better. The instruction manual is extensive and takes time to master. I think I would appreciate the functionality and low usability of the design.
