Know what you're getting

Ok, first let me say that they are constructed the same as all other vmoda headphones. So if you have bought before you know what you are getting but if not they are made like tanks mostly metal construction and leather material for the headband it reminded me of how a car seat feels but a bit more rubbery the covers are Made from solid metal, they seem like they'll last a while and the only plastic on the earbuds is sits right on top of the earcups and added an interesting feature: the earpads are fully magnetic and are easier to remove than previous models. They also come with two cables, one with the mic and one without, both are very high quality and honestly don't get tangled up that easily since I've used them and I have a feeling they will last as long as the headphones. The body is V Moda style but a little less like an alien exoskeleton, in my opinion it still has that look, don't get me wrong, but I'd say more subdued. sound quality. Now obviously the most important part of the set is sounding out and playing live on this label of studio headphones. I've used a lot of headphones from Sony, Bose and pretty much everything in between in my life. They're flat, and by flat I mean they haven't improved anything, they're colorless and leave nothing to the imagination like good studio headphones should. Now don't buy them to play mp3 songs because they sound harsh and cluttered and just sound really annoying if you want to get them you have to run flac wav or uncompressed formats of these styles which works well with the likes of tidal and other Hi-Res streams, but don't expect Pandora to sound like a studio. I've put them through intense testing and songs and have yet to find a genre that doesn't suit them and for people who say they lack the bass I'd say no it's not forward as I said nothing improved but on the uncompressed song I ran it packs a punch and had a very deep and solid continuation down to the low end but still not overpowering and not seeping into anything and everything where it should be. So should you buy them? Whether you've got the time and uncompressed songs, or need a set of unrelenting headphones for editing or studio use, these are absolutely perfect for those categories and definitely have their weight to justify the price.
