1 hour review. on headphones

I've had these headphones for about 1 hour now. I checked all the audio tracks and everything seems perfect. The soundscape is huge and the bandwidth perfectly matched. and the mids are more accurate than I've ever heard. Sound quality 10/10. The build quality is as good as my M-100, but the strut mounts are still plastic. I will do my best to avoid drop testing.

Best headphones I've ever had

These are great headphones. I've had several m100 kits and even given away a pair of m100s. They destroy everything, even headphones for $500-1000. I'd say the M200's are flatter and not bass heavy like the M100's until you hook up a headphone amp to them. If you love good, clean, great sound, the M200s are fantastic. If you don't want to use an amplifier and are looking for a more powerful bass sound, the M100 is the right choice. You will not be dissatisfied with any of the options.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Bad set

Good sound, it hurts to wear them.

My only complaint is that the ear cushions are not thick enough. So if you have big ears, your ears will put pressure on the speaker and start to hurt after a while. These ear pads are unique (magnetic ear pads) and there is no alternative. So basically you need to buy another vmoda model of ear pads and put them in a way that they can be attached to these headphones (m-200). Why magnetic ear pads when vmoda doesn't offer larger magnetic earbuds. Just like they offer on their other line of…

Amazing sound, terrible comfort.

M-200 for gaming purposes, because I like a more detailed sound and not just an inflated base. When I first put them on, I was amazed at the accuracy of the soundscape. Unfortunately my ears start to hurt after 2-3 hours of wearing these headphones, I have red spots on my ears from scratching the fabric on the inside of the speaker. The pillows lack depth. Unlike other V-MODA headphones and the rest of the line, the M-200 doesn't have interchangeable XL earpads and uses a patented magnetic…

Know what you're getting

So let me start by saying they're built the same as all other vmoda headphones. So if you bought them before you know you're getting them but if not they're built like tanks, mainly metal construction and leather material for the headband, it reminded me of what a car seat feels like, but a little more rubbery, the covers are solid metal, seems like they'll last a while and only the plastic on the earcups is on the shells themselves, and they've added an interesting feature: the earpads are…

Pros
  • There's something in this one
Cons

Best experience requires proper hardware

I had to dust my 10 year old sound card with the right driver with equalizers. I started with the motherboard's onboard sound card and wasn't very impressed with the sound quality until I remembered I have an old SB X-Fi Titanium that I bought in 2010. Once I hooked everything up, the sound quality is amazing. Before replacing the sound card, it was difficult to tell the difference between my cheap gaming headset and these; now there are no questions. I can finally justify uploading songs over…

Reviewing my V-Moda M-200

Comfort - 2 Build quality - 5 Sound quality - 2 The wearing comfort is abysmal, the padding on the headband is so thin you can feel stiff seams and the pads on the cups are like that thin that you can actually feel the built in ring at the bottom of the pads, the clamping force makes you feel like your head is being clamped in half. The sound quality of the speakers with the speakeasy cable is A-shaped, which means that the middle frequencies are emphasized and the high and low frequencies are…
