Review on V MODA M 200 Professional Studio Headphone by Lawrence Feldman

Best experience requires proper hardware

I had to dust my 10 year old sound card with the right driver with equalizers. I started with the motherboard's onboard sound card and wasn't very impressed with the sound quality until I remembered I have an old SB X-Fi Titanium that I bought in 2010. Once I hooked everything up, the sound quality is amazing. Before replacing the sound card, it was difficult to tell the difference between my cheap gaming headset and these; now there are no questions. I can finally justify uploading songs over 100MB. I have some old .dts files and other 5.1 music that sounds amazing on it. In addition, normal HD video streaming and music sound significantly better. The detachable cable is really great, it's very handy to be able to switch the side the cable is connected to. I'm pretty rough on my gear and it seems they stand the test of time. The ear pads could be a bit bigger, my earlobes start to hurt a little after a few hours, but that may be due to the sound quality and comfort. They plugged it into the Mac Book Pro's headset port instead of an expensive PC sound card, and the PC beat the 20-year-old MAC geek.
