Review on SteelShad - Heavy Series 1/2 Oz. Bass Fishing Lures - Lipless Crankbait For Freshwater Fishing - Perfect For Smallmouth & Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Pike & Trout - Heavy Series by Black Croom

Revainrating 3 out of 5

1/2 ouncers are NOT SALTWATER sized!

the 1/2 ouncers are like bluegill lures, TINY split rings and tiny treble hooks I had to change. A jack crevalle, a ladyfish, let alone a redfish in saltwater would destroy the tiny trebles. wanted light weight, but even the split rings are so tiny. Went with larger rear treble, left off front hook, because these are already a super snagger lure. I've lost so many, if they even touch the bottom.THEY SNAG! Love the whole lure, but they do get VERY expensive to loose, these are not cheap, versus a simple Tsunami "gotcha" like metal jerk jigger type lure at Walmart. $8.00 versus $2-$3.and before bidenflation the small tsunami zip jigs were a $1.97 at wally's world. I'll give these 1/2 ouncers a try and see how they do. I have much larger 3/4's and 2 oz. which are more SALTWATER sized. For mean, lure destroying fish. Barracuda's and King Mackerel, and Jack Crevalle's. Saltwater anglers be aware, these are MICRO!

Pros
  • The Heavy Series SteelShad Bass Fishing Lures are perfect for freshwater fishing, making them a versatile option for fishermen of all levels
Cons
  • Due to its size, the SteelShad may not be appealing to smaller fish species, limiting its versatility and effectiveness in certain freshwater environments
