I used this with a 240v 60 amp line that I ran in the garage. I hardwired a Hubbell NEMA 14-60 connector to the ends of the Tesla wall jack cables to give me more freedom to choose where to place my charger. Everything feels solid and the quality of the socket is top-notch. The Tesla wall socket draws a maximum of 48 amps. This is within 80% of the payload for a 60 amp line. I'm not sure why everyone recommends a NEMA 14-50R outlet when that outlet seems more appropriate and reliable in the future as I now have a 60 amp circuit instead of a 50 amp circuit.
