Review on GoVideo VR4940: Top-quality Progressive-Scan DVD Player/Recorder with VCR by Fred Griffin

I have had the 4940 for four weeks now. It easily transfers recorded material from VHS to DVD-R or -RW. It does an excellent job of timed recording to DVD-R or -RW. The instruction manual is much more complete, detailed and easier to understand than most. Everything I recorded on this device plays back on it and on my computer. I didn't ask him to edit anything or do more than the above. I'm writing because the negative reviews above almost put me off buying a machine that does everything I need. Perhaps production has improved in recent months. My car was manufactured in March 2004. simple soul
