During the quarantine I decided to start making multi tier and multi tier cakes. Every recipe I've seen online for decorating these cakes included a cake turner, so I gave up and got one. I'm very glad I went with it! Very affordable and comes with other decorating tools such as spatulas and scrapers. Haven't used icing scrapers for anything other than crumbling, but they were a good size, about 4 inches tall. Metal spatulas, both straight and offset, come in handy for evenly spreading the glaze. The cake shown in the photo is my second cake (not counting the cakes in the boxes) and I was able to decorate it thanks to these tools. I'm not sure how heavy a cake he can really handle. I put a 3 tier cake on it (2 tiers on each tier, 6"dia, 8"dia and 10"dia) but it's ok. Without anything on top the table wobbles when turning but I'm not sure if all tables will be like this. I also wish there was a way to center cakes and cake boards, maybe the markings of radial measurement from center to outer circle will help. I'm just by eye. You could probably write the table yourself.
