I used this cable to increase the range of the third Oculus Rift sensor for use with Roomscale VR. It works flawlessly with my triple camera setup, straight from the back I/O panel of my X99 motherboard, without the need for an additional auxiliary USB card or powered hub. It even works with an optional 6-foot passive extension cable, connecting it to a PC without ever switching from USB 3.0 to USB 2.0. It is reliable, perfect and quite high quality. I know that other manufacturers' cables are sometimes recommended for these setups and even supposed to be just as good, but this cable helped me when the most recommended brand didn't work at all. If you have an Oculus Rift and are looking for a 16-foot USB 3.0 extender that works, then look no further. This cable is great.
