Works with Oculus Link but doesn't support full charging

Don't use the front ports and yes I know it's just a USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 Gen1 cable. When I use this with an Oculus Quest for Oculus Link, the Quest's battery is slowly draining, so this cable cannot handle the amperage required. charge while using the quest. Maybe it's my attitude. I'll find out after I get Anker's 10ft A-to-C cable. Warning: I am using a USB Type-A male to Type-C female adapter and a 10ft Type-C to Type-C cable. I suspect the extra is of dubious quality from the adapter I'm…

  • Rugged design

Perfect for Oculus Rift and Room Scale VR!

I used this cable to increase the range of the third Oculus Rift sensor for use with Roomscale VR. It works flawlessly with my triple camera setup, straight from the back I/O panel of my X99 motherboard, without the need for an additional auxiliary USB card or powered hub. It even works with an optional 6-foot passive extension cable, connecting it to a PC without ever switching from USB 3.0 to USB 2.0. It is reliable, perfect and quite high quality. I know that other manufacturers' cables are…

Part of my functional 20ft Oculus Link setup

I bought this to use with my Oculus Quest as an Oculus Link accessory with the following setup: - [Pro Version] KIWI Design VR Cable Controller 6-Pack Retractable Ceiling Pulley System - Anker USB-C Charger, Powerline USB-C to USB 3.0 Cable (6ft) with 56kΩ Pull-up Resistor - CableCreation Active USB -Extension cable (16.4ft length), USB 3.0 male to USB 3.0 extender nut setup I can confirm that it works with at least USB 3 ports on my PC. I've tried different cables to do this very tedious setup

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Chinese junk, doesn't work with Rift for USB 3.0 - Lost connection. Regular cheap USB 2.0 works better. If like me you need USB 3 functionality, avoid this. One day I find out if a few people say it doesn't work for a certain item or it doesn't work as advertised to pass it on. 90% of the people who look at this stuff know it looks like it should and that it can work when they actually try it, but have no idea of the full functionality or if it actually works when they do to try it. When…

Terrible image with Logitech Brio

When used to extend the USB 3.0 cable that came with the Logitech Brio webcam, the resulting image was narrow and heavily pixelated when connected to USB 3.0 Super Speed SS was attached to a Dell desktop. Without the seller's cable, the picture was excellent. When used with a 4 year old USB 2.0 extension cable of the same length as this cable (16ft) the picture was also excellent. So this cable didn't even work as well as a 4 year old USB 2.0 extender bought from another manufacturer. When I…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Cheap Cable Kit Quest 2 Link

This is an overview of several products used as a cheap alternative to the official Cable Quest Link. I started using Airlink and Virtual Desktop when I got my Quest 2 to play PC VR games. Both programs had their pros and cons, but I didn't like the noticeable lag I got with either despite having a very good Wi-Fi connection. I've seen many reviews complaining about this setup not working. I'm not sure if it's difficult for them to plug it in, but I had trouble initially and did this to fix it.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No performance

Successfully extends cable length for my Valve Index

I bought this along with 3 other DisplayPort and USB extenders (and a DisplayPort connector) to try and extend the display for my Valve Index to expand. My tests were NOT exhaustive but all 4 options worked. In addition to reviewing this product, I also describe the other options I tested, including the price. I hope this helps anyone looking to expand their VR system. In all cases there was no noticeable loss of picture or audio fidelity or image loss. The length of the cable doesn't add…
