It's sooo cute. On my 4th, I bought stars and stripes sweatshirts for My Girls and for myself. It's not like we have anything special going on, but when the fireworks start, it often gets chilly in the evenings. I. Can't say I'm in love with the little "ears" on the sweatshirt. They really aren't needed. If my girls were puppies I might think differently but they are 10 years old. The ears are sewn through and sewn to the lining on the inside of the hood. I thought if I sewed them on the outside I'd just cut them off, but I can't. She'll get rid of that! Hoods for my dogs are more of a show than a walk anyway. You shrug them off as quickly as I put them back on. It is almost impossible to buy a hood that is really suitable for a small dog, he usually chokes on his head and closes his eyes. I've stopped fighting it. They are very well done. They are not very heavy for winter outdoors. Wear it but they will be great for 3 seasons. I'm so glad I have them, I think we'll all be wearing them on memorial weekend - just a week from now!
