I didn't buy this as a handlebar bag, I put it on the passenger seat with the top flap routed through the passenger belt. I wanted something big enough to hold my sunglasses, phone charger, etc., but it needed to be small and discreet. The build quality is good, although the plastic buckle is very strong and sometimes difficult to open. It's a good thing he'll probably never snap. It's nothing fancy but the two side flaps on the top minimize the chance of something small slipping out and overall I think it's a great little bag. If you plan on using it as a bar bag, remember that all you can carry in it are a pair of sunglasses, a phone charger, and a few other items. It was perfect for my needs and looks like it will last a long time.
