Review on πŸ”§ Premium Rancho RS999379 Shock Absorber: Enhanced Performance and Durability by Michael Zambrano

Shocking results. No!

This is the second set of Rancho RX9000XL adjustable shocks that I have installed on two different Silverados. The first set on a 2014 Chevrolet High Country, 1500 Series (1/2 ton) with 2.75 inch pistons and 9 position adjustment worked great with a built in camper loaded in the bed and sitting on Firestone airbags. Adjusting it around 1/2 way is similar to the factory Rancho shocks in damping, but adjusting it to 9 really stopped the rear end from bouncing on bumps etc. A new kit was installed on a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD (3/4 ton) with rubber springs "sumo" with overload, and again with the same results as in the first case with a heavier push camper; softened the rebound of the stern. The 2500 series kit was not as large in diameter but worked just as well as the 2.75 inch shock. The representative stated that the attenuation increased by 33% compared to the previous shock; they work and will buy again! For those towing trailers and feeling that your vehicle is "stuck," try the 9-position adjustment at the front of your vehicle to cushion the front of the tractor from its increased vertical movement. Limited lifetime warranty and return policy, if you're not satisfied, you can't go wrong. Oh, it only takes about 25 minutes to install from the back with double-sided keys. Easy exchange! Interested in sumo springs. Check out the attached photos to see how easy they are to install and NO air is required. Pull out the original fenders and push on the sumo springs. You can buy them for various pounds of resistive compression; Shown is an 1800 lb spring. I also set the sumo to 2200lbs in the front (4) and it stopped the "roll" in the back with a camper deployed. When the car is unloaded from behind, they do not touch and return to the factory condition. Safe journey.
