Quest Real Real cookies are AMAZING. I order 4 boxes of cookies every month because it's one of the few things I can digest right now and it's a way to get enough fat and protein. I reheat it in the microwave and add heavy whipping cream and it's that good. The texture is like those old soft cookies. But my last batch came with a VERY DIFFERENT taste. The taste is so weird it looks like it's either another sweetener like aspartame or another protein powder blend (definitely not whey protein as it should be). This isn't the first time I've come across counterfeit products when ordering from Revain and I'm very disappointed to have to throw them away or return them. But I definitely don't eat them because who knows what's in there and it's scary. I will now be subscribing to ordering these directly from Quest Nutrition. It's a bit more expensive, but if it's a real cookie eaten by the Incas, it's worth it. UPDATE: Quest's cookies turned out to be the same. I tried to eat them again but they gave me a rash! After speaking to Quest, they seem to have changed their formula a bit (but not the ingredients list). Based on the taste, I think it's another whey protein source that's probably contaminated (it tastes similar to muscle milk whey protein, which is notorious for its arsenic/mercury/cadmium/lead contamination, especially when you look at the project's tests clean looks label). ) -- believe me, I've been eating whey protein products for decades and you can definitely tell the difference between this and a whey-only product that doesn't taste the same. So they are not a fake, but unfortunately they are no longer a good product. Shame. I used to eat a few packs every month and I'm really sad about it.
