I agree with another reviewer that the blanket is uneven in weight - there are definitely almost no beads in the outer squares, but that's it really. Don't get in the way of the quilt as the center squares are well weighted. In fact, it can prevent it from slipping? Speaking of fabric - I'm 10 lbs / gray stars and it's so soft. My cat (pictured) is crazy about the wrong side of this blanket, and the star/cotton side is great too. There was a sewing error that can easily be corrected by knotting the threads. I don't think it affects the quality of the blanket too much. I also bought this for myself as I think 10lbs and the size is enough and I like the heaviness. It was a pleasure to use! You don't have to spend more than $100 or buy such a large blanket, it works well and has good materials.
