Review on AmeriPour Black - Mason Jar Pour: Effortlessly Elegant Pouring Experience by Mike Ogunlana

I bought this product because I wanted to buy a replacement lid for one of my glasses. I accepted the fact that I might have to buy an imported product, but when I saw that it was made in the USA I decided to buy a set of regular caps and a set of wide-mouth caps, both with valves. Read reviews before buying. As some reviewers have noted, the lids leak when pouring liquids. In this case, I used a wide-necked lid with a large (64 ounce) jar of balls. The lids come with rubber rings and first I put the ring in the lid. When I tried to pour a drink, there were a lot of leaks. I took out the ring, unscrewed the lid and tried to pour again. There was still some leakage, although not as much as before. I decided not to remove the lid but to put a rubber ring under the lid because there was a gap between the lid and the jar which was causing the leak. When I filled the liquid this time, there was no leak. Aside from this issue, I have no other complaints about the product. The spout has a valve to close the hole when not in use and the spout was great even with thick liquid like eggnog. I decided to keep the lids after figuring out how to prevent leaks, but the company may need to improve their product by making lids more suitable for jars.
