This device improves on the original charger in three ways: it has longer cords (especially the one from the outlet to the brick); it has higher output current and power (65W vs. 35W); and the LED on the charging clip blinks softly when it's detached from the Surface Pro, making it easy to see where the end of the cable is in a darkened room. The LED shines bright and bright when connected to the charging port.
