Not as scary as it seemed!

Okay, let me say I was incredibly scared after reading a lot about Pravana Vivids. I was worried it would stain everything, bleed and not take root in my hair when lightened. But here is my experience (NOTE: I am NOT a pro and have not colored my hair in the years leading up to this adventure): Background: I am a natural level 7. I had mostly balayage or ombre due to the fact that my hair is streaked , grew back. (1st photo in a collage of 4 I've attached). Then I decided I wanted to go bright red! I just had a baby and I'm really bad about my looks so why not grow up or go home! I used a company called eSalon to achieve a bright red. In short, it was a big mistake in my book (2nd photo in a collage of 4 I've attached). After a day I used the Oops color remover and removed the reddish brown demi dye I got from eSalon. Luckily the color came out well (3rd photo in the collage of 4 I've attached)! So after a lot of research I bought a Pravana Vivids red, purple and wild orchid. purple and maybe half red. I mixed in white conditioner, probably at a ratio of 2 parts color to 1 part conditioner. I used a brush to paint it and it took about an hour. I also leave it on for an hour. After washing it in the shower I could tell I already liked the color! It is so much fun! Some sections of my hair were dominated by red as the purple almost covers my hair and at the ends you really see the wild orchid. I think it's a bit off because I haven't lightened my hair before. My shower is barely dirty and I didn't have any bleeding so I guess the air conditioning helped! I didn't have any spots on my skin either. In the future I want to play with Violet too!
