Review on 🔳 Noctua NF-A9x14 HS-PWM chromax.Black.swap: Premium Quiet Slim Fan (92x14mm, Black) by Jon Higdem

I wasn't always careful about which fans I was using. Mostly I've pulled them out of outdated builds and cases and incorporated them into new systems as a sort of "homage" to their predecessor. As I set out to build my Skyreach PC, which was my console slaying dream, I knew that every part that went into it had to be best in class. I first bought the NH-L9i in Chromax Black and was so impressed with it that I decided to use Noctua fully on this system. I replaced the GPU fans (noisy, a bit whiny, and frankly too big to fit) with these fans and it was great. I was really surprised at how well they performed at low speeds in applications where noise was an issue. However, they can get LOUD. With ASUS Fan Xpert, you can spin all connected fans to maximum speed, and this little box becomes a jet engine. Add to this the whirlwind problem in this case and things become unbearable. However, the fan switching worked great (from push to pull) and the average temperature only rose by 5 degrees. With a little lower voltage and some tweaking, I had a quiet, high-pressure fan that kept dust out and components cool enough. Compared to other fans I've used over the years, I find the pitch and tone of the fan to be more comfortable on the ear. You'll find that most fans aren't all that different from their immediate competitors, but you'll hear the difference. I prefer them a lot. extra bonus? No more puke brown coloring, although I kinda love this hilariously dated color scheme. I assume that the brand awareness factor is also present. And in the age of RGB, it's refreshing and inspiring to see how a brand can hold its own against the competition without nice lighting to hide quality flaws. You pay a little more than the competition, but honestly, you're getting something really special with this company. High-quality European engineering at its finest. All in all, these are incredibly well designed fans with a rich pedigree. I will be using Noctuas in future situations where high static pressure, low noise fans are required. It is great. And they're pretty shiny, cool in their own way. Definitely quiet flex.
